This disease is often confused with others, but there are a number of symptoms that are specific to PCOS and allow to diagnose the development of this disease with a high degree of probability. The main ones are listed in the article.
One of the most common and most striking symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome is frequent abdominal pain. It can hurt with different intensity - from mild discomfort to unbearable pain spasms. The nature of the pain can also be very diverse: burning, dull, aching, squeezing, etc. An important feature: when a person sleeps, the pain disappears, but returns immediately after waking up.
Another common symptom is bloating, which increases during the day and reaches a maximum in the evening. After eating, the feeling of bloating, as a rule, increases.
Patients with PCOS often suffer from flatulence, excessive gas formation and gas secretion. At the same time, the release of gases, as a rule, occurs unexpectedly.
Almost always, people with irritable bowel syndrome suffer from stool disorders. It can be both constipation and diarrhea. Moreover, sometimes both of these violations alternate during the same day.
Among the symptoms of PCOS may be sudden or false urges to defecate (in particularly difficult cases, unexpected defecation is also possible), a feeling of incomplete bowel emptying after going to the toilet, as well as a noticeable and frequent rumbling in the stomach.
If you suffer from several of the described symptoms, consult a doctor so as not to trigger the development of the disease.
