A small number of them are currently in various stages from concept to production, and some may never be released. But electric cars are the future, and technology enthusiasts are already seeing the emergence of more and more EV models from such big names as Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, as well as new brands like Lucid and Rivian, writes Avtoporady.
Acura RSX: Expected for early 2026
Acura is introducing its first electric vehicle, the RSX, built on Honda’s new electric platform and featuring a heritage dome roof. Production is scheduled to begin in late 2025 at Honda’s new facility in Ohio.
Afeela 1: Release in 2026
In collaboration with Sony, Honda is preparing to release a new sedan, the Afeela 1, equipped with advanced technologies and a Level 2+ driving assistance system. The model, equipped with a pair of electric motors with a total output of 482 hp, will be available only in California with a price starting at $102,900.
Alfa Romeo Giulia EV: Debut expected in 2026
Alfa Romeo is planning to reimagine its Giulia with a new electric powertrain. The model will be built on the STLA Group platform, with high-speed charging and a range of up to 500 miles. Developers promise versions with power from 350 to 1000 hp.
BMW i5 M: Market launch in 2026
The new BMW i5 M with four-motor drive promises over 1136 hp, which will allow it to demonstrate impressive dynamic characteristics, including the ability to drift controlled. The model is scheduled for launch in 2026.
