Official data on fuel consumption in cars can differ significantly from actual consumption on the road. The car brands with the largest discrepancies have been revealed, TSN reports.

Many drivers rely on the manufacturer's stated fuel consumption figures, but in real-world conditions these figures often do not reflect reality. This was confirmed by the results of a test conducted by the Australian Automobile Association, during which the fuel consumption of popular car models was checked.

A similar situation developed with the hybrid Suzuki Swift – its actual consumption was 5,2 l/100 km, which is 31% more than the official data (4 l/100 km).
