Ingredients

You need the following:

  • pumpkin - 1,5 kg;
  • water - 1,5 l;
  • sugar - 150-250 g;
  • citric acid - 1 tsp.

How to cook

For juice, you need to choose only ripe specimens of pumpkin. Cut its flesh into medium cubes. Put in a saucepan and cover with water. It is necessary to bring to a boil and cook under the lid until the pumpkin becomes soft.

Grind the vegetable into a puree with a blender along with the water in which it was cooked. Add sugar and citric acid. Mix everything thoroughly. If the puree is too thick, add boiled water to the desired consistency. Continue to cook for another 15 minutes.

When the foam stops appearing, the juice can be poured into cans. Roll up the lids, turn them over, and when they have completely cooled, then put them away for storage. Such juice is mostly prepared for the winter. Bon appetit!
