The liver is rightfully considered the most useful offal, but not everyone includes it in their diet.
The fact is that in the process of heat treatment, this product becomes hard, which automatically makes it tasteless.
Below you will find a recipe for cooking liver, after which the dish turns out to be surprisingly tender and appetizing.
For this you will need the following ingredients:
- 0,5 kg of liver (beef or pork);
- 2 bulbs;
- 3 tablespoons of flour;
- 150 g of sour cream;
- 1,5 teaspoons of mustard;
- vegetable oil - for frying;
- salt and ground black pepper - to taste.
To begin with, you should get rid of the films on the liver and cut it into small bars.
If time allows, fill the product with milk or water and leave it like this for 1-1,5 hours. During this time, prepare the onion, peel it and cut it into half rings.
Pour the flour into a cellophane bag, and send the liver here - so you can bread the pieces without getting your hands and dishes dirty.
The onion should be fried in oil until it acquires a golden color and becomes soft, after which remove it from the pan and put the pieces of liver in the flour.
Add sour cream and mustard to the liver, then fried onions, salt and pepper and continue to cook for another 5-7 minutes.
After the specified time, remove the pan from the heat. It is not necessary to serve immediately - let the dish "reach" under a closed lid. It will take about 3-5 minutes.
