An ancient legend says that negative energy is “black gold” because it can be turned to your advantage. The ability to transform negativity into positivity is considered the key to a happy and successful life.
We often lock negative emotions inside. Disgust, resentment, envy and all derivatives of negativity are nothing more than a protective reflex that has developed as a result of encountering unpleasantness, pain, and insult. But each protective reaction is accompanied by a stronger, positive emotion. Everyone can tame negative feelings, because fear goes hand in hand with courage, hatred with love, anger with kindness. To do this, you need to know how to manage emotions.
The power of negative emotions
You should let go of internal negativity. Try to treat unforeseen events a little more gently. Traffic jams in the morning, spilled coffee on your shirt, problems at home should not affect the course of everyday affairs. Set yourself up for inner harmony from the very morning, then it will be easier to cope with negativity and get the most out of it, transforming negative emotions into energy and passion for life.
Negative emotions are the body's basic reaction to external stimuli, which can be managed and transformed into a benefit: the heart starts to beat faster, the brain becomes more attentive to danger, thoughts acquire clear contours. Negativity is harmful only if it is chronic and does not work in the long term.
Positive-negative perspective: this is when negative emotions help to use all personal resources to respond more flexibly to what is happening, events, and also to maximize your own opportunities to improve your life.
How to turn negative emotions into positive energy
The first rule: experts advise you to stop perceiving negative emotions as something negative that overwhelms you, and start giving them a more positive meaning that awakens you to action and brings benefits.
The second rule: don’t pretend. Self-deception takes away a lot of strength that is so necessary in the fight against negative emotions. Learn to tame your feelings with the help of holotropic breathing, grounding, meditation, adequate rest, relaxation. Don’t close yourself off, don’t be ashamed of yourself, don’t pretend that you don’t feel envy, pain or irritation. Don’t try to suppress your emotions, otherwise they will suppress you.
Rule number three: watch yourself. If your inner voice tries to sway you in a negative direction, try to deny it. Question your thoughts and analyze the situation. Any problem is an opportunity to improve and gain experience. Instead of just constantly mentally returning to problems, you need to focus on solving them.
Fourth rule: don't try to get rid of your emotions. Try to realize where they are, what feelings arise at the moment of irritation or envy. Anger has a very mobile energy, it often goes to the head or hands, it is difficult to restrain it. Envy is a cold emotion hidden in the depths of the soul, but often makes itself felt in the tension of the jaw muscles. Resentment often acts deceptively: it seems to you that it is accompanied by real pain, but in fact everything happens in thoughts. You can resist yourself, exaggerate, look for the guilty. But only accepting emotions, recognizing yourself in your feelings, gives control over them and a chance to replace them with positive energy.
Fifth rule: find the reason. Everyone has their own way of dealing with negativity and negative feelings. Someone accuses themselves of weak character, someone ignores, another denies, and the third wallows in their pain. But in order to move forward, to success and a better life, you need to understand the nature of your feelings. As an example, we suggest considering the feeling of hatred. It is considered negative by default, as is the person who feels it. But hatred is neutral by nature. It is a consequence of pain, a response to emotional shock, lack of support. The same goes for envy, anger, indifference, and selfishness. Any of your feelings is fertile ground on which you can grow something amazing. Open your heart, accept your feelings, and let them go, then lightness and strength of spirit will come into your life, and you will transform.
Any emotions, negative and positive, are a gift that you cannot close yourself off from. It is your feelings that can point the way to awareness and enlightenment, you just need to work on yourself.
