This method was advised by my grandmother. In order to quickly sharpen a dull knife, take a ceramic plate. It must be turned over and run with a knife at an angle along the rim of the bottom. It is desirable that there are inequalities. Perfect French dishes will not help here. Instead, an ordinary ceramic plate or cup will save your knife.
But grandfather recommended taking sandpaper. The knife blade should be rubbed against the rough side of the paper with mechanical movements. This method is also good for sharpening the blades of meat grinder knives.
