North Korean troops have retreated from Russia's Kursk region due to significant losses and are not participating in hostilities, South Korean intelligence reported on Tuesday, Yonhap News reported on Tuesday, February 4.
South Korean intelligence has released intelligence data confirming that North Korean soldiers who fought with Russian troops in battles against Ukraine were withdrawn from the front line. It is noted that this happened in mid-January, and the likely reason for such actions is heavy losses.
"Since mid-January, there have been no signs that North Korean troops deployed in Russia's Kursk region are participating in hostilities," South Korea said.
