American scientist Dan Buettner, who studies the lifestyle of long-lived people, claims that people who live to 100 have common habits. These habits include moderate alcohol consumption, healthy sleep, plenty of plant-based food, and others.

In particular, Büttner studied the passions of the inhabitants of the city of Loma Linda in California, the Japanese island of Okinawa, the islands of Sardinia (Italy), the islands of Ikaria (Greece) and the Nico Peninsula in Costa Rica. These places were not chosen by chance, the so-called "blue zones" lie here - regions with a large number of people living there, who celebrated their 100-year anniversary.

Also, many of those who live to the age of 100 are often characterized by the presence of strong family ties, an active social life, the ability to show fortitude in a stressful situation, the presence of a goal in life and belonging to some religion or spiritual practices, the American scientist said.
