According to scientists from Harvard Medical School, the profession of a driver is dangerous for life, this is reported on the website of the scientific institution, writes zhenskiy. After analyzing the medical records of taxi drivers for 13 years, Harvard experts found that almost every professional driver faces such a problem as neck and lower back pain.

Scientists claim that this disorder is associated with car vibration, which they consider "a terrible enemy of the skeletal system." Constant exposure to vibration leads to joint deformation, intervertebral hernias, and sciatica.

In addition, drivers suffer massively from varicose veins and other vascular pathologies as a result of sitting for many hours. They also have diseases of the gastrointestinal tract - the result of an unbalanced diet.

Another typical and life-threatening problem for drivers is blood circulation in the pelvis due to long hours of sitting in a chair. Its consequences can be prostatitis, urolithiasis, erectile dysfunction, scientists warn. In addition, heated seats can contribute to the development of inflammatory processes.

Drivers also have an increased risk of cancer, which scientists associate with inhaling toxic fumes - products of gasoline and diesel processing. Experts also noted the fact that asbestos is used in the production of brake pads, which can also affect the body as a carcinogen.
