To prepare jam, take:
- 1 kg of sorrel
- 700 g of sugar
- 60 ml water
What shall I do:
Wash the young sorrel leaves, remove the stalks, namely the coarse fibers. Dry and cut into thin strips. You can also use a combine, chopping in any way into equal pieces.
Then put the sorrel in a saucepan, pour water, add sugar and cook, stirring, until thickened within 30 minutes.
Pour the finished jam into sterilized jars and close. Store in a cool place and serve with tea. This jam is also delicious in combination with baked meat. Soursop complements baked goods and fish, and can even be added as a salad dressing.
