The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that a new Russian-American meeting will take place in the next two weeks. It is planned to take place at the level of heads of relevant departments, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to him, there is an agreement to hold comprehensive consultations "for a systematic and detailed work-through of the entire block of stimuli."
“It is necessary to obtain information about who will act as our interlocutor on the American side at this level. The Americans have been confirmed our readiness to launch this work as soon as possible. There is also an understanding that the round at the deputy level will be preceded by a consultative contact between the directors of the relevant departments. And their meeting may take place within the next two weeks,” Ryabkov said.
He added that the Russians and Americans are currently agreeing on a specific location for the meeting, which will take place in a third country.
