A cat caused a major disruption to a flight at Rome's Italian airport, forcing a Ryanair flight to be delayed for two days.
This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to the GBnews media.

What is known about the cat's antics?
The incident occurred on February 9, when crew members heard a meowing sound during a pre-flight check. The crew members immediately began a search and found the four-legged friend in the forward electrical compartment of the Boeing 737 aircraft.
However, attempts to catch the cat were unsuccessful. The frightened cat ran away to the further compartments of the plane. Engineers tried to reach it by removing the front panels of the cargo compartment, but these efforts were also in vain.
How did it all end?
The animal was found when the plane's doors were left open - it simply walked down the stairs. The Boeing 737 remained grounded for two days after the incident.
How dangerous is this situation?
If animals get into the interior of an aircraft, it can pose a serious safety threat. Small rodents, birds, or insects can gnaw through or short out electrical wiring, causing malfunctions in navigation systems, communications, or even aircraft controls.
And larger animals can get stuck in hydraulic or ventilation systems, affecting cooling, oxygen supply, or aircraft control.
As we can see, even a small animal can cause a serious plane crash. That's why airlines actively use safety measures.
