83 drones attacked Russia overnight

On the night of February 13, drones attacked targets in Lipetsk and the Lipetsk region (Russia). The attacks were apparently directed at the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant and the Transneft Baltika distribution station.

This is reported by the Russian service BBC, Ukrinform reports.

The governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, reported in the morning that the region had been subjected to a massive UAV raid and that air defenses were working, and a few minutes later he added that electricity had been cut off in several areas of Lipetsk. Later, the power supply was restored.

Telegram channel Mash reported that 12 explosions were heard in the industrial part of Lipetsk. According to locals, drones also attacked the city of Yelets from 03:30, and residents heard many “bangs and buzzes.” Mash published a video, probably filmed by locals, of an air raid siren over the city and the sounds of explosions.

Another Russian Telegram channel SHOT adds that the drones likely attacked the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant.

Later, Artamonov reported that two private houses were damaged as a result of falling UAV debris, there were no injuries, and on the territory of the Lipetsk aeration station, "an employee of the enterprise was injured."

The aeration station (primary treatment of sewage effluents) is located in the same industrial zone in the south of Lipetsk as the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant, the publication notes.

According to SHOT, a Ukrainian drone was shot down over the Transneft Baltika distribution station located in the village of Pes, Khvoyninsky District. The UAV was trying to disrupt the transportation of oil in the Novgorod Region. This raw material was intended for export.

Previously, a "Feb" type drone was used, loaded with a KZ-6 shaped charge. However, after it was neutralized, there was no explosion or fire. There were no injuries or damage.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that 83 Ukrainian drones were shot down over nine Russian regions overnight: 37 drones over the border Bryansk region, 12 each over Kursk and Lipetsk regions, 9 over Tver region, and the rest over Belgorod, Kaluga, Smolensk, Voronezh, and Rostov regions. The ministry, as usual, does not report how many drones were flown overnight and what the consequences of the raids and their repulsion were.
