Ukraine plans to amend the Law "On Road Traffic" regarding the creation of special parking spaces for vehicles transporting children under three years of age, as well as for pregnant women.
According to the new draft law No. 12437, specially equipped parking lots must have at least 5% of spaces allocated for such vehicles.
In addition, parking spaces should be clearly marked with appropriate road signs, the publication writes. Expert.
It is also planned to arrange parking spaces for pregnant women, the elderly, and veterans to make parking more accessible and convenient for these categories of citizens.
The changes will come into force only after the draft law is approved by the Verkhovna Rada and the president signs the relevant document. The countdown to the start of the changes will begin precisely after the law is signed by the head of state.
The Cabinet of Ministers will be tasked with preparing and approving all necessary regulatory and legal acts that will ensure the practical implementation of the law's provisions. The government will also have three months to complete this work.
