The drone of Ukrainian polar explorers flew around and photographed Mount Demaria, which is located directly on the continent of Antarctica, from a bird's eye view.
This was reported by the National Antarctic Science Center.
The mountain is located 8 km from Galindez Island, where the Akademik Vernadsky station is located. In good weather, Ukrainian polar explorers can even see it from their windows, although the mountain is not high (635 m). It is known primarily for its steep slopes.
But it is regularly visited by Ukrainian scientists to collect plant and soil samples. There is a hiking route for tourists. Demaria is also known among extreme ski enthusiasts.
