The US House of Representatives has introduced a proposal to create a new national holiday in honor of President Donald Trump, proposed by Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney.

Tenney emphasized that George Washington's birthday is an official federal holiday, so Trump's birthday is also worth celebrating because he is the "founder of America's Gilded Age."
Trump's birthday, June 14, coincides with US Flag Day.
"This legislation permanently codifies a new federal holiday called 'Trump's Birthday and Flag Day' on June 14 in honor of this historic day," the congresswoman said.
