Russia is ready for a "tough bargain" with the US

Moscow demands that Washington take the first step towards normalizing bilateral relations based on the principles of mutual respect and equality.

The aggressor country Russia is ready to negotiate with the United States in a "hard bargain" mode to end the war in Ukraine. The corresponding statement was made the day before by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov.

According to the official, Russia has seemingly regained its place in world politics, "disappointing the plans of the (previous US President — ed.) Joe Biden administration, which promoted a liberal-globalist "rules-based world order," to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Moscow in a hybrid war to the "last Ukrainian."

"Against the backdrop of the failure of this course and the change of administration, the first step towards normalizing bilateral relations, meaning negotiations based on the principles of mutual respect and equality, should be taken by the United States. We are open to dialogue, ready to negotiate in a tough bargaining mode, taking into account the realities "on the ground" and our national interests, determined by history and geography. Therefore, the decision and choice are up to Donald Trump and his team," Ryabkov said.
