The Czech initiative to supply Ukraine with large-caliber ammunition will continue, Czech President Petr Pavel said on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Reuters reports.
He shared that the Czech Republic has already provided Ukraine with 1,6 million shells under this initiative. According to him, funding for the supplies has been secured until April and will continue after that.
“We have received sufficient resources from our allies to cover Ukraine's needs until April this year, and here, at the conference, I have held talks with allies to consider the possibility of providing more resources,” said the Czech President.
Pavel emphasized that Europe now needs to support Ukraine at least until a peace agreement is implemented and until there is confidence that the country "can stand on its own two feet."
