"The Prime Minister looks forward to meeting President Trump soon to discuss how we can deepen our special relationship on trade and investment, and security. The Prime Minister will travel to Washington next week," Starmer's spokesman said.
He added that there will be a wide range of issues that "we will work on with the new administration in the US."
Starmer and Trump previously met at Trump Tower in New York before the US presidential election, and at the time Trump described the prime minister as "a very nice guy."
It is noted that the British government has had mixed results in its efforts to win the favor of the new US administration.
At the recent Munich Security Conference, US Vice President J.D. Vance criticized the UK over a case involving the conviction of a former soldier who prayed outside an abortion clinic for violating the safe zone around the facility.
Vance also stated that "the fundamental freedoms of religious Britons are under threat."
