Donald Trump insists on control of the Gaza Strip
The United States will be able to "cautiously" begin construction on what will become one of the largest and "most spectacular projects on Earth," Trump assured.
US President Donald Trump reiterated that Washington should take control of the Gaza Strip after the fighting ends, he said on the Truth Social network on Thursday, February 6.
"Israel should hand over the Gaza Strip to the United States after the end of hostilities," Trump wrote.
He said the US would be able to “cautiously” begin construction on what would be one of the largest and “most impressive projects on Earth,” adding that it would “not require a single American military person.”
The American leader assured that he would ensure "stability in the region."
Trump recently proposed relocating Gazans to Egypt, Jordan, or other countries. After that, the US could take control of the enclave, “dispose of dangerous bombs and other weapons,” and eventually rebuild Gaza.
