Trump to join Putin in Moscow for May 9 celebrations
The US and Russia may not be celebrating May 9th so much as their joint "agreement in peace talks on Ukraine."
US President Donald Trump is likely to arrive in Moscow on May 9 to meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, French newspaper Le Point reported on Friday, February 21.
Journalists note that information about Trump's visit to Moscow was revealed by unnamed sources.
"Trump and Putin will celebrate a joint victory in peace talks to end Russia's war against Ukraine," the material says.
Journalists note that this will not be the first time an American leader has visited Moscow on May 9. In particular, Bill Clinton accepted Boris Yeltsin's invitation to visit Moscow on May 9, 1995, to mark the first 10-year anniversary of the end of World War II after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
