Donald Trump has signed orders imposing significant tariffs on imports of goods from Canada, Mexico, and China.
This is stated in a report by The Washington Post, Ukrinform reports.
"American importers will pay a new 25% tax on goods from Canada and Mexico, as well as a 10% levy on goods from China," the publication quotes the US president as saying.
Under the trade deal Trump signed during his first term, most goods from Canada and Mexico were tariff-free, while many Chinese goods were taxed at up to 25%. The new tariffs will put an additional burden on importers.

Trump signed a total of three executive orders imposing additional tariffs, a White House official told reporters Saturday, marking the first step by the Trump administration in its second trade war, The Washington Post reported.
At the same time, it is clarified that the US is imposing a 10% tariff on crude oil from Canada starting today.
