Trump announced new talks with Russia

The American leader said that Zelensky and Putin should work together to stop the war.

A new round of talks between the US and Russia will begin next week in Saudi Arabia, US President Donald Trump said on Friday, February 21, while speaking to reporters, Sky News reports.

According to him, talks between Washington and Moscow will continue on Tuesday, February 25, in Saudi Arabia.

Trump also said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin need to meet to discuss a settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

"I think President Putin and President Zelensky should work together to stop the killing of millions of people," Trump said.

He also repeated his statement that Russia wants to make a deal.

On Friday, Trump said that Zelensky did not necessarily have to participate in negotiations to end the war in his country because he was "not very important to participate in the meetings" because "he was such a bad negotiator."
