An explosion occurred at the Radonezh oil field in the Tyumen region. Two employees were injured and are in serious condition, according to the pro-government Russian Telegram channel Baza.
"According to preliminary information, the outbreak at the field occurred on the evening of February 18 during equipment repair. An unforeseen release of a mixture of gas, oil and water to the surface occurred on the territory of the enterprise, after which a fire broke out there. Two workers who were near the epicenter of the fire suffered severe burns. After some time, the fire was extinguished. However, the operation of 23 other wells was stopped due to the event," the report says.
Two driller assistants were injured in the fire, one of them 22 years old and the other 46. The men received burns and were taken to a regional hospital, where doctors assess their condition as serious. The injured were put into a medically induced coma.
