Company SpaceX launched a booster rocket Falcon 9, which is to deliver a landing module to the Moon Athena by Intuitive Machines. The launch took place at 19:16 local time (03:16 Kyiv time on February 27) from the site of the John F. Kennedy Space Center (Florida). The spacecraft is expected to land on March 6, after which it will have to work on the lunar surface for about 10 Earth days.

One of the main tasks of the IM-2 mission will be to continue exploring the resources of the Earth's natural satellite. As a payload, the spacecraft carries cameras, a Trident soil drilling rig, and an MSolo mass spectrometer for analyzing organic and inorganic compounds.

The module will also deliver the transmitter Nokia 4G format, after which the first mobile communication station may appear on the Moon.
