Ingredients:
- toast bread – 6 slices;
- cheese (cheddar, mozzarella or another to your taste) - 100 grams;
- eggs - 2 pieces;
- milk - 50 milliliters;
- a bunch of fresh herbs (parsley, dill, green onions);
- vegetable oil – 1 teaspoon (for greasing the waffle iron);
- salt and pepper - to taste.
Method of cooking:
To make delicious toasted bread waffles with cheese and herbs, follow these steps:
Step 1
Grate the cheese on a large grater. Finely chop the herbs. Use your favorite herbs, such as dill, parsley, or green onions, to give the waffles a fresh flavor. Mix the cheese and herbs in a separate bowl.
Step 2
In a deep bowl, beat the eggs with milk, add a little salt and pepper to taste. Dip each slice of toasted bread into the egg-milk mixture so that the bread is soaked but not falling apart.
Step 3
Spread a little of the cheese and herb filling on one slice of soaked bread, then cover with another slice of bread, as if making a sandwich. Press the bread lightly with your hands so that it doesn't fall apart during baking.
Step 4
Heat the waffle iron and grease it with vegetable oil. Place the sandwiches in the waffle iron and bake for 3-5 minutes until golden brown, crispy, and the cheese inside is completely melted.

Step 5
Serve the finished waffles hot. You can cut them into triangles or squares for convenience. They go well with sauces such as sour cream, ketchup, or garlic sauce.
Tips:
Waffle maker: If you don't have a waffle maker, you can bake the sandwiches in a pan under a pressure cooker or on the grill.
Cheese: It's best to use cheeses that melt well, such as mozzarella or cheddar. You can add different cheeses to the filling for a variety of flavors.
Filling: Experiment with ingredients – you can add pieces of ham, chicken, or tomatoes to the cheese.
Toast bread: If you want a richer flavor, use rye or whole grain bread instead of white toast.
