
We all love delicious food, and dumplings are among the favorite dishes of Ukrainians. And there is nothing surprising in this. The dish is incredibly appetizing and allows the use of various fillings. Some people like dumplings with sweet filling, others, on the contrary, with salty. Among the variety of fillings, it can be difficult to finally decide.

For the most part, we limit ourselves to creating "simple" dumplings: with cheese, berries, potatoes.
However, it makes sense to try to prepare a dish with some non-standard filling.
If you follow the recipe, the "updated" dumplings will surprise even food lovers with their unusualness.
1. Potato and mushroom filling
Usually, dumplings are made with one thing: either potatoes or mushrooms. But why not combine these two products? Especially since they go perfectly with each other.
Fry 30 grams of mushrooms with chopped onion, then mix the resulting mass with mashed potatoes. The delicious filling is ready.
The resulting filling should be "seasoned" with a few tablespoons of vegetable oil.
2. Sweet cheese filling
Usually, cooks don't try to make cheese dumplings sweet. But it's still worth experimenting.
To do this, mix half a kilo of cottage cheese with three tablespoons of granulated sugar, one raw egg, half a tablespoon of butter, and a pinch of salt.
3. Cabbage filling
Dumplings with cabbage are incredibly delicious. For half a kilo of this chopped vegetable, you will need one grated carrot and one onion.
The vegetable mixture should be salted. After that, add a little butter to it. Simmer until cooked, and the filling is ready.
4. Potato and liver filling
Liver dumplings are also delicious. For 150 grams of cooked product, you will need three potatoes and one onion.
5. Apple filling
To make this filling, take half a kilo of apples and a third of a tablespoon of granulated sugar.
To improve the taste, you can add a little cinnamon to the future filling for dumplings.
