The psychologists' findings were published in the specialized publication Journal of Social and Personal Relationships.
Scientists are sure that people who are easy to "win" seem more desperate and less attractive. But more valuable are partners who do not show the corresponding feelings immediately. Employees of the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya conducted a study, the participants of which were more than 100 students. Volunteers read two types of profiles on a dating site. In some profiles it was written that the person was selective in his choice. In others it was mentioned about less selectiveness.
It turned out that students were more interested in those individuals of the opposite sex who were more selective.
Thus, scientists from Israel confirmed their own hypothesis.
