The Ukrainian patrol police are called to serve the people and protect the law, but often unscrupulous inspectors are focused solely on their own benefit. In particular, they work on quantitative indicators, when drivers are “sew” charges of offenses just to make a plan. Often, police officers resort to various kinds of fraud to do this, which frankly annoys drivers.

From time to time, motorists complain that patrol officers use TruCAM devices to measure vehicle speeds with obvious violations. For example, the inspector walks towards a car, which automatically increases the radar readings.

The problem is addressed by Bill No. 10441, which was registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and included in the agenda of the current session of parliament. The document, among other things, prohibits not only walking with the device in your hands during speed measurement, but also touching it unnecessarily. It is proposed to allow the use of TruCAM only in a stationary position.

Previously, when appealing speeding fines, courts repeatedly agreed with the drivers' position that holding the device in their hands gives the police a large-scale field for manipulation, and therefore canceled such penalties.
