Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 get a new Performance variant

Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 high-performance crossovers will feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with 321 hp.

Peugeot used its last E-Lion day to unveil plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup in 2025. It will be led by performance versions of the E-3008 and E-5008.

These models, which will arrive in the coming weeks, will feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that produces a combined output of 325 hp (239 kW). The cars retain the 216 hp (157 kW) front-mounted motor, as well as a new 112 hp (82 kW) rear-mounted motor.

Speaking of the E-5008, the company will launch a new five-seat variant in the first half of 2025. It will offer 994 liters of luggage space behind the second row, 78 liters more than the seven-seat variant. When the rear seats are folded, the luggage capacity increases to 2310 liters.

While not groundbreaking, Peugeot said orders for its electric vehicles doubled last year. The French brand went on to say that it had the highest growth in retail sales of electric vehicles in Europe and was the leader in the electric B-segment. 

The automaker also highlighted the Peugeot Electric Promise, under which their electric vehicles come with an 8-year or 160 km warranty, as well as a wall charger and a Free000Move Charge card, which gives access to almost one million charging points across Europe.
