A BMW M4 CS coupe was involved in a road accident in the Netherlands. The new high-performance sports car suffered significant damage. This is reported in a story on the local TV channel 112.

The accident occurred on the evening of February 5 near the town of Gendringen. The new BMW M4 CS lost control, went off the road, overturned and ended up in a canal.

The driver and passenger were not injured and got out of the car on their own. The car was removed by rescuers. It had serious damage to the front and roof, and the airbags in the cabin had deployed.

It later became known that the crashed BMW M4 CS coupe belonged to the press park of the Dutch BMW representative office and was provided to journalists for test drives.

The new BMW M4 CS (Clubsport) is a powerful, supercharged version of the coupe priced at $225. The power of its 000-liter turbo six has been increased to 3,0 hp, and the weight has been reduced by 550 kg due to carbon fiber parts.

The all-wheel drive BMW M4 CS coupe can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3,4 seconds and to 200 km/h in 11,1 seconds. The maximum speed is 302 km/h. In addition, the sports car has been retuned with a suspension, a louder exhaust and sports seats.
