After a prototype of the 4 Toyota RAV2026 model year was spotted testing in the US, carscoops has published high-quality images and details about the new product, including new information about transmission options.
The 4 Toyota RAV2026 is expected to get an upgraded infotainment system with improved graphics and support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa for voice control. The car is expected to come with premium options such as a head-up display (HUD), panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and wireless charging.
The car will remain on the TNGA-K platform used in the current model, but with improvements aimed at increasing impact resistance and compliance with stricter IIHS crash tests. In terms of engines, Toyota will probably not use the 1,5-liter turbocharged engine that was rumored, and will focus on hybrid versions. The model is expected to receive a 2,5-liter four-cylinder engine in combination with two electric motors in the front-wheel drive version, with a capacity of 232 hp (173 kW). The all-wheel drive version will have an additional rear electric motor for better traction.
Additionally, a fully electric version of the RAV4 is possible if the revised TNGA-K platform is adapted for full electrification. The model will compete with updated versions of the Mazda CX-5, Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson.
