Jaguar has begun road testing its Type 00 electric sedan. The photos were taken on public roads, featuring a camouflaged sedan that is said to be powered by an electric powertrain. The name of the new model has not yet been officially confirmed, but it has been reported as the Type 00.
The same designation was used for the Jaguar Type 00 concept car, unveiled at the end of 2024, which marked the beginning of a new era for the British brand. At the time, it was reported that its production version would be presented in 2025.
Judging by the photo, we have a four-door electric car, based on the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) platform. On a single battery charge, it can travel up to 770 kilometers. Unlike the concept, the production sedan has a rear window, which is visible in the photos.
The production model based on the Type 00 will be one of three electric cars that will form the basis of the new Jaguar lineup by 2029. The sedan will be followed by a crossover, but nothing is known about the third model yet. It can be assumed that it will be a supercar.
