The winter months often bring unpleasant surprises in the form of dark spots on the walls. This is especially common in February, when the windows are closed and the laundry is drying in the apartment, causing the humidity in the room to gradually increase. And where there is moisture, nasty mold immediately appears. But fixing this problem is very easy!

The good old advice with vinegar is still relevant. It's a simple remedy, but it really works better than expensive household chemicals. It's all because of acetic acid, which doesn't mask the problem, but removes it. That is, it destroys the fungus. In addition, vinegar evaporates quickly, and at the same time it also reduces the overall level of humidity.

It's simple to use: pour it into a spray bottle and carefully spray all the dark corners. And you don't need to spare it, because the vinegar should seep deep into the wall. After that, don't touch the wall for at least 15 minutes, or better yet, an hour. During this time, the acid will do its job. After that, you can use a brush to remove the fungus.

Of course, you shouldn't forget about basic safety rules. Although vinegar is not an aggressive chemical, a mask and gloves will not be superfluous. After cleaning, the wall should be washed with plain water and wiped dry well. And another important point is to use white vinegar, because other vinegars may leave stains.

In places where mold often appears, it is necessary to maintain a normal temperature. This is especially true for the bathroom and kitchen, because the humidity there is always higher than in other rooms. It is also necessary to ventilate the apartment more often, because musty air is just a paradise for mold, so over time it will return.

It also happens that mold appears again and again, although you do everything right. Here there are no options - you have to call a master. Perhaps there is a leak in the roof somewhere or the problem is in the walls themselves. Vinegar in this case is a temporary solution to at least somehow contain this unpleasant situation.
