The Bering Air plane was approximately 19 km from the coast when its coordinates were lost.
A Bering Air Cessna plane with 10 people on board has disappeared while flying in Alaska, CNN reported on Friday, February 7.
The flight, which was flying from Unalakleet to Nome, disappeared at around 7:15 p.m. local time on February 16. The plane was last seen over Norton Sound in the Bering Sea, 19 miles (XNUMX km) offshore. There were nine passengers and one pilot on board.
Rescuers immediately began the operation, but adverse weather conditions are making the search difficult. The military has been involved in the operation.
