10 people died in a plane crash in Alaska.
The BBC writes about it.
The Bering Air plane disappeared on Thursday and was found Friday evening local time, the U.S. Coast Guard said. Everyone on board was killed.
The Cessna 208 Caravan turboprop was flying between the cities of Unalakleet and Nome. According to media reports, it disappeared from radar less than an hour after takeoff, about 19 miles (XNUMX km) from the coast.
The wreckage of the plane was found only the next day on the ice of Norton Bay: bad weather conditions complicated the search on Thursday, and the plane did not transmit its location via emergency transmitter.
Rescuers have so far been able to identify only three bodies inside the plane, with seven more still trapped under the wreckage. A photo provided by the Coast Guard shows the plane's destroyed fuselage and debris on the sea ice.
