The pillows we use every day turn yellow, become stained and dirty over time. This happens due to sweat and saliva, dead skin cells and dust. Therefore, in order for your pillows to last you a long time, you need to change your pillowcases regularly and wash them periodically. It is recommended to wash your pillows at least three times a year.
Before you start washing, carefully check the labels on your pillows. They usually indicate at what temperature the pillow can be washed, whether it can be bleached, etc. If the information on the labels is erased or cut off, go to the manufacturer's website. In my case, the pillow cover unzips, and you can add or completely replace the filling. The filling in these pillows is polyester, so they can be washed at 40°C.

Before washing, treat the cushions with a special cleaning agent. To do this, mix 100 ml of hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Place the resulting mixture in a spray bottle and spray the cushions well. Leave them for 5 minutes to take effect.
Next, put the pillows in the washing machine. You can wash one or two pillows in one wash. It is best to use a liquid detergent, such as gel or capsules, for washing. It is desirable that this detergent is hypoallergenic and without a strong odor. Set the washing machine to the “synthetics” mode at a temperature of 40°C. In my case, the maximum spin speed is 800 rpm, I also turn on an additional rinse.
After washing, you can run the machine on spin mode to remove excess moisture from the pillows. After that, the pillows should be dried.
