The popular budget car Renault Sandero, which is offered in European markets under the Dacia brand, has long held the title of the most affordable hatchback. However, now it has a serious competitor - the new MG3 2025, informs "Auto Theme".
The new model in the basic version is equipped with a 1,5-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 115 hp and is offered at a starting price of 15 thousand euros, which is 2 thousand more than the cheapest version of the Dacia Sandero. So far, this cost gap plays in favor of the Sandero, but if MG manages to lower the price, the balance of power may change.
The MG3 has a modern and stylish design that stands out from competitors such as the Volkswagen Polo, Peugeot 208 and Skoda Fabia.
The main feature of the new product is a 192-horsepower hybrid version, which consumes only 4,4 liters of fuel per 100 km in the combined cycle. Experts believe that in the future MG may release simplified modifications of the MG3, which will be offered at prices even lower than the most affordable Dacia Sandero.
