Pancreatic cancer, which develops in the body, often does not cause certain symptoms until the late stage. On the Times Now portal, doctors indicated the early symptoms of a dangerous disease, including back and stomach pain.
Pancreatic cancer occurs in connection with the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells of the pancreas, which leads to the appearance of a tumor of the organ.
"Pancreatic cancer can affect adults of any age, but is most common in patients between the ages of 60 and 80. As in the case of other forms of cancer, the true causes of pancreatic cancer remain mysterious: familial or hereditary cases of this cancer make up only about 10 percent of the total statistics," doctors from the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network state.
According to them, pancreatic cancer is difficult to diagnose - it does not show specific signs for a long time, and the emerging symptoms are often perceived by people as harmless.
Oncology experts indicated early signs that should make the gland be examined by a doctor.
- Loss of appetite.
- Unintentional weight loss.
- Jaundice.
- Abdominal or lower back pain.
- Nausea and vomiting.
- A blood clot in a large vein, often in the leg.
- Enlargement of the gallbladder or liver.
"The presence of one or two of these symptoms does not mean that you have pancreatic cancer, but it is still important to talk to a treating specialist who can diagnose the cause and start treatment if necessary," the scientists shared the recommendation.
