Many people have a habit of putting fresh meat in the freezer, but this is wrong and even threatens to cause health problems. Egyptian doctor Abdel-Rahman Shams drew attention to the problem of safe meat storage.

As reported by The Times Hub, doctor Abdel-Rahman Shams recommends not putting fresh meat in the refrigerator and even more so in the freezer. If you immediately put the meat in the freezer, it will lose a large amount of nutrients, and the probability of health problems in the event of its consumption will immediately increase, the expert said.

In addition, due to the chemical changes that will occur, the taste properties of the product will deteriorate, and its hardness will increase.

"Meat is ideally stored at a low temperature to enhance the formation of lactic acid, which has a huge number of useful properties, including resistance to microbial contamination, and preserves the nutritional value of the product," explained the doctor.

The recommendation of the Egyptian specialist is as follows: first, the meat should be put in the refrigerator, leaving it for a day or several hours at a temperature of 7 ° C., and then packed in bags, preferably of maximum thickness, to ensure proper cooling of the product inside and out.
