Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Serhii Lavrov
This is Trump's main motto, "America First." According to Lavrov, this concept "bears a disturbing resemblance" to the Nazi slogan.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is concerned about the “new US administration’s focus on coercion for peace” and President Donald Trump’s main motto, “America First.” He expressed this opinion in an article for the magazine Russia in global politics.
According to Lavrov, such a concept “bears a disturbing resonance” with the Nazi slogan “Germany above all,” which was popular under Adolf Hitler.
Lavrov believes that the US should stop "opposing the strengthening of multipolarity" in the world.
As you know, the slogan "America First" was first used by Woodrow Wilson during the 1916 presidential election. During his first term, Donald Trump made this concept the official foreign policy doctrine of the United States. He campaigned with the same slogan in 2024.
