Dmitry Peskov apparently doesn't know about Putin-Trump talks
Dmitry Peskov made it clear that he may not be aware of the negotiations between the leaders of Russia and the United States, because "there are many different communications."
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov neither confirmed nor denied information about a phone conversation between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, Russian media reported on Monday, February 10.
"I made a statement about this yesterday and I can't tell you anything else. I can neither confirm nor deny it," he told reporters.
The day before, Peskov also neither confirmed nor denied media reports about a conversation between Trump and Putin.
"As the administration in Washington develops its work, there are many different communications, and these communications are conducted through different channels, and, of course, against the background of the multiplicity of these communications, I personally may not know something, be unaware of something. Therefore, in this case, I can neither confirm nor deny it," he added.
The day before, Trump announced that he had a conversation with Putin. At the same time, he refused to provide any details of this conversation.
