- Kia will hold “EV Day” and present three new cars.
- The production-ready EV4 and PV5 will be the stars of the event.
- Kia will also unveil the EV2 crossover concept.
Kia has announced plans to hold an “EV Day” on February 27 in Tarragona, Spain. The event promises to be packed with new features, including the unveiling of three electric vehicles.
The main news is the debut of the EV4, which was first shown as a concept and has been spotted testing several times. The model is planned to be offered worldwide as a sedan and hatchback. Both will feature the futuristic “Opposites United” design, which incorporates some of the EV6’s features.
Full details on the new model will be available later this month, but the model is likely to feature 58,3 and 81,4 kWh batteries. These could power a front-mounted motor that produces 204 hp (150 kW) and 283 Nm of torque.
Another premiere at the event will be the PV5 van, previously previewed by a similarly named concept. It is planned to feature a bold design as well as a practical and flexible interior.
Last but not least, the company will be unveiling its new EV2 concept, which was recently spotted testing. It's a compact electric vehicle, and teasers suggest it'll be a crossover with a plastic body and fake skid plates. You can also see XNUMXD taillights and a contrasting black roof.
The teaser video is a bit more revealing, as it shows that the EV2 will have a stylish front end with vertical lighting fixtures. Streamlined bodywork and muscular accents will also be part of the design.
