The all-new Genesis GV90 was first spotted testing, but photographers had a hard time getting the best shots of the electric flagship SUV as the prototype veered off the road in snowy conditions and got stuck in a snowdrift.

Fortunately, no one was injured and the car was successfully pulled out with the help of a tractor. However, the driver was apparently very embarrassed by the situation and tried to prevent photographers from taking pictures of the upcoming BMW iX competitor.

Despite this, we managed to get a lot of photos, including those where the GV90 is already standing on all four wheels, continuing testing on the snowy roads of Sweden. Apparently, the design of the new product has remained faithful to the bold Genesis Neolun concept, which was presented last year.

The front of the GV90 gets Neolun's signature lighting system, with two narrow LED strips that create a diamond-shaped pattern, as well as light elements that extend into the front wings. The front bumper has massive mesh inserts, which probably help cool the motors and battery.

The overall body shape, with its high roofline and traditional SUV twin-box silhouette, remains unchanged. The two large parallel light panels at the rear also remain.

However, the production version lost some of the concept's extravagant features, including frameless doors and digital side mirrors. Instead, the car received standard doors with retractable handles and traditional mirrors.

The Neolun concept’s cabin is dominated by a huge central display, a soaring center tunnel, and a host of audio components. Some of these elements may make it to the production model, but the infotainment system will likely be similar to the updated GV60 and GV70, with a 27-inch screen positioned closer to the driver.

If the Neolun only had four seats, the GV90 will most likely offer at least a five-seat or even a seven-seat option, considering competitors such as the Mercedes EQS SUV and Volvo EX90.

The GV90 is expected to be built on Hyundai's new eM platform, which will provide 50% more range and support for Level 800 autonomous driving. It is expected to use an 100-volt architecture, a battery capacity of over 640 kWh with a range of about XNUMX km, and rear- or all-wheel drive options.

The Genesis GV90 is set to make its official debut next year, and it could be available in the UK with a starting price of around £100.
