In recent weeks, the number of cases of acute respiratory viral infections, influenza, and Covid-19 has been increasing in Ukraine. Over the past week alone, more than 206 people have fallen ill, 60% of them children.
This was stated by the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.
As the minister noted, 5 patients with complications are in hospitals and are receiving the necessary medical care. The trend towards increasing morbidity may persist for the next 406-3 weeks.
The epidemic threshold has already been exceeded in 16 regions. The most difficult situation is in Khmelnytskyi region, with significant exceedances also recorded in Volyn, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Ternopil, Cherkasy, and Chernivtsi regions.
The situation is currently under control, but we must be prepared for any scenarios. According to the minister, all regions are provided with the Covid-19 vaccine.
As a reminder, 16 regions are partially implementing anti-epidemic measures due to the increase in the number of viral infections. "Local quarantine" may be applied in the region or individual settlements.
