The kitchen sink is often filled with “forbidden” products that are better disposed of in another way. You need to know that some products should definitely not be poured down the sink if you don’t want to spend money on calling a plumber. They gradually accumulate in the pipes, creating impassable blockages and often an unpleasant odor.
The first thing that absolutely cannot be drained is oil and fat. Many people think that if you pour these products while they are hot, they will simply drain into the pipes. In fact, the fat gradually settles on the walls, mixes with other food residues and forms a real greasy plug. Some housewives drain the fat into a separate plate, and when it hardens, they throw it in the trash. The oil can be wiped off with paper towels, and then wash the dishes.

No less dangerous for pipes are the remains of coffee and tea leaves. At first glance, they are small and can be easily washed away without consequences, but in fact they act like sand that settles on the walls of pipes. Thick coffee and tea leaves can be squeezed out of excess moisture and simply thrown into the trash. Or give this waste a second “life” by using it to feed plants or for cosmetic purposes.
Flour, rice and pasta can also become a real “headache” for housewives. When these products come into contact with water, they swell and turn into a sticky mass that sticks to the pipes once or twice. If the pasta or rice also gets into the fatty layer, then after a while an impassable lump will form, blocking the drain.

To avoid problems, it is better to use a mesh filter for the sink and not be lazy to throw food scraps into the trash can. Then the drain will work without problems, and you will not have to spend time and money on cleaning it. Use the experience of other housewives so as not to check everything on your own experience. We wish you success!
