Road sign with two cameras: what does it mean?

A sign depicting a road with two cameras warns drivers about the beginning of a section with sectional speed control. This is reported by Avtotema.

The sectional speed control system records not only instantaneous violations, but also measures the average speed of the vehicle on a certain section of the road. The cameras record the car at the entrance and exit of the controlled area, after which the system calculates the average indicators, including the speed. If the latter does not correspond to the established limit, the vehicle owner is issued a fine.

The end of the section where the sectional speed control system operates is marked with another sign — D-51b with a red strikethrough.

Is there something similar in Ukraine?

On the roads of Ukraine, you can find sign 5.76 — “Automatic video recording of traffic violations.” However, it only informs drivers about the possibility of recording violations on a certain section of the road using cameras. The principle of operation is different from the European system, which can control the average speed.
