The Volkswagen Atlas crossover has changed generations. The new model was presented in China, where it is sold as the VW Teramont. Details of the new product were revealed on the official Volkswagen website, Focus reports.

The new Volkswagen Atlas/Teramont has changed dramatically externally. The design has become more angular, and the wings have been widened. The large headlights are now connected by a diode strip, and the door handles are retractable. In addition, the crossover is larger than its predecessor.

Dimensions of the Volkswagen Atlas 2025:

  • width - 1991 mm;
  • height — 1788 mm;
  • wheelbase — 2980 mm.

The cabin now features three screens on the front panel, one of which is for the front passenger. The multimedia system has been supplemented with Deep Seek artificial intelligence.

The front row seats are separated by a high console. The Volkswagen Teramont crossover debuted in a seven-seater version, but a six-seater version may appear later.

The new Volkswagen Atlas/Teramont will be available only with 2,0-liter turbocharged gasoline engines, and the V6 is no longer offered. The crossover debuted with a 272-horsepower four-cylinder engine that can accelerate to hundreds in 7,6 seconds. A cheaper 213-horsepower version will appear later.

All 2025 Volkswagen Atlases come with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. Buyers will be able to choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
