Drivers in Poland only need to carry their passport with them, instead of carrying their license, vehicle registration certificate and insurance policy in their car all the time. The register, which the police have access to, will answer all questions, the publication writes. "News.LIVE".

The Polish police have access to the Central Register of Vehicles and Drivers (CEPiK). Therefore, during a roadside stop, a patrol police officer can quickly check the vehicle's insurance status, the driver's driving license, and the category of the permit.

It is clear that the police check the information based on the driver's passport or access to the mObywatel application. In the absence of such a document, the driver will be temporarily stopped to clarify and confirm his identity.

Important for Ukrainians

The optional technical passport applies only to cars registered in Poland. If the vehicle has foreign license plates, the technical passport must be carried with you. If it is not present during the inspection, it may result in a fine of up to PLN 500 (UAH 5200).
